About Pilotage International
Relevant Culturally
Not everyone starts from the same point of view. Different lands, different languages, different histories. Our worldviews are varied.
Many programs are created in Western culture and designed for the financial
framework of that society. When brought to other cultures, some are merely translated into
a different language. But many of the Western concepts are totally inapplicable in other societies.
The key to lasting change is to start from a peoples' current perspective. Through the Pilotage
process, we reach down into the underlying beliefs that cause blindness to God's provision.
Then we build towards Biblical-based principles as applied in the local culture and economic
situation. In doing so, we increase hope and faith and help to unlock potential, no matter what the social or economic conditions may be.
A Broad Perspective
The old paradigm of stewardship focuses on money. Yet money is only a means of exchange - something created by man.
The Bible states that God gives His children everything they need when they follow Him. Maybe not currency - but time, talents, treasures, spiritual gifts. Sometimes it is not money that is needed. Only an encompassing view can clearly convey the message of God's provision.
Sensitive Economically
We are all equal. Dignity and the value of people, no matter what their financial situation, are core Biblical foundations.
From the poor to the wealthy, the marginalized to the affluent, our message is contextualized to meet the economic condition of our audience.
