Our Students
At any time, you can find students from the Dominican Republic,
Russia, Spain, Haiti, Columbia, Mexico or Great Britain at Pilotage
Center. This creates a unique, inter cultural environment for learning
and making new friends.
Our largest group of students work in tourism. They migrate from the
cities and countryside of the Dominican Republic. They travel from
earthquake riddled Haiti to send money back to their families. They fly
in from Spain, Mexico, Columbia or Brazil for employment in the resorts.
Some of our students come from the US, Canada or Europe as winter
residents or vacationers in this resort area. Others come specifically to
study and work at Pilotage Center.
